Dr. Iovank Gonzalez, MD
Dr. Iovank Gonzalez is a graduate of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Havana, Cuba. He has specialized in Family Medicine and in Cardiology at the Institute of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery of Havana, Cuba, with additional fellowship specialist training in Cardiovascular Emergencies.
He is a former Clinical Research Associate at the Institute of Cardiology, Havana, Cuba, where he trained residents and fellows and published papers in: Internet Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Women´s Health, Cuban Journal of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery and the Cuban Journal of Internal Medicine.
Dr Gonzalez is the Director of Echocardiography at Premier Heart Care Ltd and a Consultant Cardiologist at the Port of Spain General Hospital, Trinidad and Tobago. He practices Clinical Cardiology and Non-Invasive Cardiology and has a special interest in Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Emergencies. His specialty procedures include trans-esophageal echo (TEE), physiological stress echo (PSE), dobutamine stress echo (DSE) and TEE-Cardioversion.
